Department Description
The Human Resources Department provides various functions for the taxpayers of Genesee County, including:- Administering New York State Civil Service Law for the County as well as all municipalities, school districts, and libraries within the County;
- Serving as the central Human Resources agency for all units of the County government including administration of the County's health benefits;
- Managing the conduct of labor relation activities for all bargaining units within County Government.
- Determining eligibility for County employment and providing training and guidance on labor relation issues, and serving as a resource for any and all labor-related issues;
- Providing residents with information about opportunities of public employment, including requirements and qualifications.
