Flu Shot Clinics Clinics are usually held in the Fall with several dates scheduled throughout the County. Check the Gene-Senior newsletter, the Daily newspaper, or call the Genesee County Health Department at (585) 344-2580 for dates. Senior Fitness Programs Fitness classes are held at the YMCA. For information and class schedule, contact the YMCA at (585) 344-1664. The YWCA also holds various fitness, yoga and line dancing classes. For information, contact them at (585) 343-5808. The Genesee County Office for the Aging holds classes in line dancing, waltz lessons and offers a Bone Power class. For class schedules or more information, please call (585) 343-1611. Community Wellness Programs The United Memorial Medical Center Healthy Living Program offers a wide variety of health and wellness programs and services which include: health education programs; specialized fitness programs; cardiac rehab; health checks; blood pressure, cholesterol and other health screenings; CPR classes and other health related support groups. New York State/Genesee County Colorectal Cancer Screen Program and Healthy Women Partnership This program is run through United Memorial Medical Center Healthy Living and provides free mammograms, clinical breast exams, self exam instruction, and PAP smears. Free colorectal cancer take-home test kits are also available. Call Healthy Living at (585) 344-5331 for further information.
