Method of Payment

The Genesee County Motor Vehicle Office accepts, cash, checks or money orders made payable to the "Genesee County Clerk". No starter checks are accepted! We also accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Non-DriverID

To apply for a Non-Driver ID card you must present an original birth certificate or certified copy, an original social security card with your signature on it, and 4 points of identification from form ID-44 (Proofs of Identity) (pdf 170 kb). If you have been married or divorced, your marriage certificate or divorce papers must be included in your proof of identification. Certified copies are needed for both marriage and divorce papers.
