Before you Request Information,
Keep in Mind the Following:
Vital Records are held by the clerk of the town where the event (birth, marriage, death) took place. New York State did not require vital records until after 1880! If you want a copy of a vital record you will have to write to the municipal clerk.
Land Records/Deeds are held by:
