EISEP (In Home Services)

Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP)

The EISEP program provides case management and non-medical in-home services such as housekeeping and personal care to serve elderly residents in Genesee County. The program is designed to help individuals eliminate or delay the need to enter a nursing home or other institution and to assist family members in the care of the elderly. Individuals 60 years of age or older are eligible if they are functionally limited, have unmet needs and are unable to receive Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement for the same or similar services. Individuals must also be able to live safely at home. There may be a fee for this program based on a person's household income. This fee and eligibility will be determined by an EISEP Case Manager. For further information or to determine your eligibility, contact the Genesee County Office for the Aging at (585) 343-1611.
