GENESEE OUTDOORS GO ART! CONTEST

When I go outside this is what I see...this is what I do...this is where I go...

Draw it, sculpt it, paint it, rhyme it, photograph it, video it, sing it - the choice is yours - what does being outdoors in Genesee County mean to you!? From river to forest to field to stream, in cities, parks, schoolyards, and at home - when you go outside in Genesee County...what do you experience?

Enter to win! Digital entries due June 15, 2015, Online voting will end June 26, 10 finalists will display work at Picnic on July 4th, and the top 3 will be announced at the county fair mid July.

General Guidelines:

  1. Entries are open to all individuals
  2. All media are welcome! (non-digital artwork must be submitted as photographs for submission)
  3. Email submissions to Gena at americorps@goart.org before June 15, 2015!
  4. Include: Name, Age, Phone #, Email, Title, Township/City, Original Size, and Medium.
  5. Visit the contest Facebook page at http://tiny.cc/ggga_art_contest to see your work - tell your friends to place their votes.
  6. By submitting you agree to allow GO ART! and GGSG to use your work and name in  publications for the educational and promotional purposes of GO ART! and GGSG.
  7. GO ART! Reserves the right to refuse or accept pieces, as necessary.
  8. All questions should be directed to GO ART!: 585-343-9313, americorps@goart.org.
  9. Finalists will be selected for final voting on July 4, 2015 at the Picnic in the Park. All artwork MUST be at the Picnic to be judged but artists do not have to be present at that time.

 

The purpose of GGSG is to create tools and provide resources that help guide land and energy use in Genesee County. This will allow continued development of viable and lasting economies and strong, vital communities.

The Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council (a.k.a GO ART!) is dedicated to developing the cultural life in Genesee and Orleans Counties by facilitating the creation, presentation and experience of the arts, heritage and traditions.
