Genesee County to Participate in Statewide STOP-DWI SUPERBOWL “High Visibility Engagement Campaign”

STOP-DWI Impaired Driving High Visibility Engagement Campaign runs
February 9 – 11, 2024

Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Batavia Police Department and the Village of LeRoy Police Department will be participating in a coordinated effort with the STOP-DWI program to bring awareness to the dangers of impaired driving.

Super Bowl weekend is historically a risky time to be on the road due to impaired driving.  In a combined effort to bring awareness to the dangers of impaired driving, prevent injuries, and save lives, law enforcement officers across New York State and STOP-DWI programs will be participating in special engagement efforts.  The statewide STOP-DWI efforts start February 9th and will end on February 11th.

Highly visible, highly publicized efforts like the STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign aim to further reduce the incidence of drunk and impaired driving.  If you feel different, you drive different.

Remember:  Impaired driving is completely preventable.  All it takes is a little planning.  If you are impaired by drugs or alcohol pass your keys on to a sober driver.
