Mission Statement
To assist each resident in living as fully as possible by assisting him/her to function to the best of their ability-physically, socially, and emotionally, and to maintain a quality of life enabling him/her to continue to be a part of society.
The Genesee County Nursing Home was established in 1945. We are a multi-level, not-for-profit, community-based Residential Health Care Facility consisting of 160 beds and an Adult Home consisting of 80 beds. The facility is comprised of a Memory Care Unit, three long-term care floors, a short-term rehab. unit, an Adult Day Health Care Center, and the Adult Home that includes a Special Care Community Dementia Unit. We are licensed by the New York State Health Department and accept Medicare, Medicaid, and major insurances.
The Genesee County Nursing Home is located in Batavia, a half-way point between Rochester and Buffalo. The community is conveniently located close to specialty shops, churches, professional offices and several medical facilities.
